RISING FILMMAKER ARAYNA THOMAS GEARS FOR FIRST FEATURE

Mexican-American director Arayna Thomas has signed Santa Monica effects company Radium to handle design and visual effects for their first feature, the intelligent Sci-Fi thriller RUNE. Written by Arayna and co-director S.E. Kenlon, RUNE is the story of Daniella Alighieri, a respected university professor who develops a theory that sends her out to obtain an ancient artifact in order to prove the validity of her find. The special effects will be realized by Radium (www.radium.com), and are an integral part of the story. Consulting through the screenwriting process of RUNE is David Veloz, screenwriter on 'Natural Born Killers', 'Behind Enemy Lines', and 'Permanent Midnight.' David has also worked for several years at Sundance Institute screenwriting lab. Arayna became a top 'one to watch' talent after winning the prestigious Expresión En Corto film festival for her short CORNERED, an imaginative Chris Marker-inspired journey on a road of thoughts.
