a roll of polaroid film New York has become closed off to Jesse, a newly transplanted city dweller. She can't remember why she came to the city or what she is doing there and is sinking slowly into a depression. On a whim she checks out an acting class and meets Anna, a German high school student spending a year exploring New York's acting scene. The chemistry between the two girls is electric, and they spend the day touring the city on bicycle. For Jesse it is a rediscovery of why she came to New York; she sees her new home through her friend's eyes and allows herself once again to feel alive. The film takes a turn when Anna reveals that she will be leaving soon and leaves Jesse with a newly created window in which only she can choose to step into life through her newly discovered inspiration. |
