The Row
Usually film fest Q and A sessions are at the very least polite, and often fawning. But after the screening of “The Nothing Plane,” which trifles with mathematics, there was an unexpected response. An audience member challenged the slight, soft-spoken young director, Seth Kenlon, in bellicose terms and stomped out, to the tune of boos and catcalls.

At which point, not unlike Marshall McLuhan popping up in “Annie Hall,” a gentleman from Palm Springs raised his hand. Stuart Lynn said “I have a PhD in mathematics. It was a wonderful film.”
